Bookcase Project
Creating home libraries for early readers
Each year we present a handcrafted bookcase and a bag of books for early readers to have easy access to books at home. Our focus through this project are children in our community advancing from the Head Start and Parents As Teachers programs into Kindergarten.
From 2011 to 2023, we presented 820 hand-crafted bookcases and 20,500 books through the Bookcase Project.
